A few years ago my husband and I took a vacation with the kids. Cruises had always seemed like an affordable option. So, we decided to try one out and discovered how great they really are. There was a lot for our kids to do and while they were busy with their activities we were able to get some much needed sleep relaxing by the pool.
We decided to take advantage of the shore excursion that the ship offered and it became a situation of animals gone wild for me. We went to a sea life park and I purchased fish so that I could feed the sea lions. I had been throwing fish to one in particular, when I noticed another animal that looked like he needed a treat. I began sharing the fish with him.
The first sea lion was not pleased and I didn’t notice him creeping up the side of the tank. Suddenly, there was a sea lion right in my face. I had no idea they were that tall standing on their back fin, he scared me pretty good. Of course I gave him the rest of the fish.
We have remembered that sea lion over the years and that ended up being one of the best cruises that we’ve ever taken.
